"Friends helping Friends"
Hello, my name is Bruce, I have a story to tell. I'm 63 years old, retired, I have a few health issues, but who doesn't? I like to talk to people around the neighborhood, crack a joke, make people laugh, everybody has a story. One day this person Jerry came in and bought a bunch of Pepsi. He told the manager of the store that he was interested in the vacant business next door. He said he'd been working on a project that he hoped would come through, he seemed very excited then all of a sudden, no more Jerry, where did Jerry go? Well, months later he came back with his mission accomplished, his dream come true, now he could help people find something more than feeling sorry for themselves by giving them a chance to learn, open up a whole new world through technology with computers and the software that goes with it at way below market price. Now how do I know this? I'm one of his customers. Jerry set me up, showed me what to do, answered any of my questions I had, and never asked for anything in return except for a thank you. Well I thanked him every day and I also make a donation every month to the Bradley Foundation. Why? Because he's a good friend and it's a great cause, believe me! So anybody out there who thinks they're stupid: you're wrong, and don't feel afraid to come down and see Jerry and Catherine and their capable staff and maybe they can help you. You don't have anything to lose, you never have to be alone.

I never thought I would get a computer I could afford but Jerry Bradley sold me one for only $150.00 with all the software. He came and set it up and showed me how me how to use it. Now I work for the Bradley Foundation as a Peer Support Specialist in a new program called "Call of Serenity." I am very thankful to Jerry for giving me a chance. Thank you Jerry!

I was going to adult education here in Portland and needed a computer, so Jerry brought me one and showed me how to use QuickBooks on it and helped me learn how to use the computer.

I saw what Jerry and Catherine were doing to help our community so I thought I would help by installing their computer equipment as a donation to save them money, I also donated part of the labor to install their telephone equipment.

The Bradley Foundation of Maine is the best, "ONE-STOP- SHOP" To work with.They offer PC training at such a low cost per hour. I'm working on my computer science degree and it's costing me between $5-$6000. But with what I've learned from the Bradley Foundation of Maine and it's program and PC offers, I could have saved thousands! I just went out and bought a new PC with all the bells and whistles and paid $1500. I could have come to the Bradley Foundation and got the same PC for $250-$300. I'm still in shock, what a deal!
With the kind of mental illness I have, it makes it difficult to learn in the classroom. So I do most of my studies online from home. Now that I have the support of the Bradley Foundation behind me, I now have the tools I need to succeed in my quest for knowledge. All I can say is thank you and refer as many people to them as I can. I am just so happy to be a part of this program. I am so glad to have met Jerry and his staff. They have made me feel very welcome. They live up to there model "One person at a time".
